The different colors for cast iron radiators are divided into 3 categories: STANDARD, CATEGORY I and CATEGORY II
Painting
As a surface treatment, the GURATEC radiators are always painted with environmentally friendly, water-based paints. This process is currently the most environmentally friendly way of coating radiators.
The paint is free of solvents, robust and very durable. The colors are lightfast - light colors in particular are as good as they were on the "first" day, even after many years. In contrast to many competitors who use liquid paint with solvents, we can show a uniquely high quality.
All radiators are carefully blasted before painting to ensure perfect adhesion of the paint.
The colors shown are available at short notice. Other RAL colors are possible on request.
Innovative technology enables metal coating
A new technology allows a real metal coating on cast iron radiators in the surfaces BRONZE, MESSUNG and COPPER. This is a new process that GURATEC is currently the only manufacturer able to use for cast iron radiators.
A 3-layer coating consisting of primer, metal coating and transparent top coat ensures lasting protection of the surface without the colours changing under the influence of light.
Metals in BRONZE, BRASS and COPPER are currently available.

Surface finishing at GURATEC is another alternative to the standard powder coating with just one color for all radiators with ornaments.
Here the radiator is powder coated as usual (usually with a dark matt black colour). A special paste (gold and silver paste are available) is then applied to the ornaments of the radiator, creating a mesmerizing masterpiece. This process is entirely manual and is carried out by experienced specialists who have mastered this traditional technique.
